Running ↔ Pilates · GALAYA From the running track to the Pilates studio: Why the Sirius collection adapts to all your demands. RUNNING Impact · Compression · Breathability PILATES Control · Flexibility · Precision Whether you're an early morning runner or a passionate Pilates practitioner, finding the ideal outfit that adapts to all your activities is a real challenge. Sports disciplines often impose radically opposing clothing requirements. Yet, GALAYA's Sirius collection has been specifically designed to meet this demand for absolute versatility. How can the same seamless running legging offer the muscle support needed to tackle the pavement and the fluid flexibility required to transition between poses on a mat? GALAYA reveals the textile engineering secrets that make the Sirius range an essential part of your sports wardrobe. 01 The contrasting demands of running and Pilates RUNNING Running: Support, breathability, and shock reduction Running is a high-impact, high-intensity sport. With every stride, the thigh and calf muscles experience repeated vibrations that increase fatigue. A good pair of running leggings must therefore offer targeted compression to support muscles and limit micro-trauma. Moreover, cardiovascular effort requires ultra-fast sweat wicking and immediate drying to prevent irritating chafing and feelings of cold. PILATES Pilates: Flexibility, softness, and freedom of movement Conversely, Pilates focuses on deep strengthening, alignment, and joint range of motion. Here, rigidity has no place. The body needs a fabric with total elasticity, capable of accompanying every stretch and twist without constricting the abdominal muscles. Since postures are primarily performed on the floor, the complete absence of raised elements, zippers, or thick seams is essential to avoid skin irritation when pressing against the mat. 02 GALAYA's Sirius collection: Seamless versatility The Sirius collection rises to the challenge of merging these two worlds through advanced technical choices. ◆ Seamless technology: Innovation for adaptability The secret of the Sirius range lies in its circular knitting process. Instead of cutting and assembling fabric panels, machines weave the leggings in one continuous piece. This allows for precise variation in knit density: tighter and more compressive around the thighs for running, more flexible and extensible at the joints for Pilates. The absence of side seams ensures universal comfort, definitively eliminating irritation from running friction. To understand the foundations of this technology, read our article: What is a seamless legging and why is it revolutionizing comfort? Sirius / Altair Technology Technical materials for all performances Altair relies on our signature Galaya Sculpt™ 280GSM knit, a blend of nylon and elastane. This heavy grammage gives the legging absolute opacity guaranteed 100% Squat-Proof, essential for performing your Pilates exercises with peace of mind. In parallel, the four-way stretch elasticity offers total freedom of movement, while the hydrophobic properties of the fibers wick moisture outwards during your sprints. The clean cut features a high waistband that supports the abdominal area without ever rolling down or slipping, whether you're mid-stride or in a stretching pose. The minimalist lines naturally enhance the silhouette. 03 GALAYA: Your partner for limitless sports practice Leggings designed for the active woman GALAYA is committed to creating a smart wardrobe for modern women who refuse to be confined to a single sport. The Sirius collection embodies this vision: a durable and versatile investment that advantageously replaces the need for multiple discipline-specific garments. Explore this versatility in our GALAYA leggings collection. 04 Tips for optimizing your experience with the Sirius collection SIZE Choosing the right size To fully benefit from the compression zones for running and the flexibility for Pilates, the leggings must fit perfectly. Carefully refer to our size guide: a model that is too large would lose its muscle support properties, while a model that is too small would overstretch the knit. MAINTENANCE Appropriate care to preserve the knit To preserve the technicality and stretch of the Altair collection long-term, wash your leggings inside out at a maximum of 30°C. Avoid using fabric softener, which clogs breathable fibers, and forgo the dryer in favor of gentle air drying. 05 Conclusion GALAYA's Altair collection proves that seamless running leggings can perfectly adapt to all your athletic demands, from the impacts of running to the precision of Pilates. By combining targeted support, total flexibility, opacity, and refined design, it allows you to transition from one discipline to another without ever compromising on comfort or style.
