ANTARES is the windbreaker that you slip into the waistband of your leggings and forget until the wind picks up. Weighing 200 grams, it's made of 100% tightly woven polyamide to block the wind without stifling, with an athletic, close-fitting cut that doesn't flap when you run. It's the mid-season piece designed for running, power walking, and active urban outings — the filter between your sports bra and the Parisian climate in April, September, or October.

Galaya Sculpt Fabric
ANTARES is part of the Galaya outerwear collection, designed with the same standards of fit as Galaya Sculpt™ but with specifications adapted to its windbreaker function. The polyamide is tightly woven to block wind without making the garment occlusive — body moisture wicks away during effort. The feel is smooth, slightly satiny, and visually clean. No plastic membrane or added lining: the piece remains single-layer, ultra-light, and durable.
- Composition: 100% POLYAMIDE
- Weight: optimized weight for fit, lightness, and opacity
- Fabric: tightly woven polyamide, wind-resistant, lightly water-repellent, quick-drying
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified (absence of harmful substances)
- BSCI social audit (verified factory working conditions)
Cut & Sizing
On the model — The model is 1.75 m tall, wears size S, and is wearing size S. The fit is close to the body, sleeves at the wrist, and length just below the waist.
Sizing advice — True to size athletic fit. If you plan to wear it primarily for running over a thin sports bra, take your usual size. If you want to layer it over a technical sweatshirt or long-sleeve, take one size up. For a more generous bust (>95 cm), take one size up to maintain freedom of shoulder movement.
Care
- Machine wash at max 30°C, delicate cycle
- Mild detergent — never use fabric softener (it clogs technical fibers)
- Air dry — never tumble dry
- No dry cleaning or bleach
Tightly woven polyamide dries very quickly — a few hours on a hanger are enough. Avoid fabric softener, which reduces water repellency and gradually clogs the fabric's pores. Washed reasonably (1 wash every 4 to 6 outings), ANTARES retains its wind-resistant qualities and clean appearance for several seasons.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it waterproof or just windproof?
ANTARES is a windbreaker with light water repellency (water beads off for a few minutes in drizzle), not a waterproof jacket. It blocks wind, slows the penetration of light rain, and dries very quickly — but for heavy downpours or planned outings in the rain, prefer a waterproof jacket with a membrane. Its main function remains to block wind and the chill from exertion.
What temperatures is it suitable for?
For running and power walking, ANTARES is effective between approximately 5°C and 15°C, over a thin sports bra or technical long-sleeve. Below 5°C, add a thermal layer underneath (breathable top). Above 16°C during sustained running, it might get too warm — it's better to roll it up and put it away. For static urban use, it's comfortable up to 18-19°C.
Does it really fold into a pocket?
Yes. Folded in four and then rolled tightly, it forms a cylinder of approximately 12 × 6 cm — compact enough to slip into a legging waistband pocket, a carry-on backpack, or a large coat pocket. The tightly woven polyamide does not wrinkle permanently after unfolding: take it out, shake it, and it will regain its shape in a few seconds.
How do I know if my size is correct?
The cut should follow the shoulder without extending beyond it, the fabric should remain close to the bust without pulling at buttons (if any) or the zipper. The sleeve should fall just at the wrist when arms are extended during running. If the jacket flaps at the back while running, it's too big. If it rides up above the waist when you raise your arms, it's too small. ANTARES is designed to be fitted — this is key to its aerodynamics.
Is it suitable for long-distance running (10 km, half-marathon)?
Yes. The fitted cut prevents chafing and fabric flapping on the arms at cruising speed. The internal seams are neat to avoid irritation. For a 10 km run at 6°-12°C, ANTARES is an excellent compromise: warm enough at the start, removable and rollable if the temperature rises, and breathable enough not to become saturated. For a marathon, the question mainly depends on the climate.
Can it be worn in the city, off-sport?
Yes. The color palette (navy blue, ivory, lavender) and the clean cut make it compatible with straight jeans, wide suit pants, a midi skirt — for market outings, café terraces, or bike commutes. This is the advantage of premium sportswear: the piece transitions seamlessly from the studio to the street. The technical discretion of the woven polyamide avoids the tracksuit jacket look.
How do I care for the windbreaker?
Wash at a maximum of 30°C, in a laundry bag to protect the zipper and delicate seams. No fabric softener — it clogs the pores of the fabric and reduces light water repellency. Air dry on a hanger, never tumble dry or on a radiator. No ironing or dry cleaning. Polyamide dries in 2-3 hours and does not require ironing: it de-wrinkles with wear.
Does it make noise when running (flapping fabric)?
The tightly woven polyamide produces a slight rustling characteristic of all technical wind-resistant fabrics. It is significantly less noisy than Gore-Tex or a low-end k-way — this is the advantage of fine weaving. With a well-adjusted size and running in an urban indoor environment, the sound is discreet. When running alone in the forest, you will hear it like any windbreaker.
Is the fabric certified free of harmful substances?
Yes. The polyamide is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified — a protocol that excludes over 350 concerning chemical substances (heavy metals, formaldehyde, phthalates, azo dyes, certain water-repellent treatments). This is relevant for a jacket worn in prolonged contact with the skin of the neck and wrists during exercise, where perspiration accentuates the potential migration of chemical residues.
What's the difference compared to a Nike Run Division or Lululemon Pace Breaker?
The Nike Run Division focuses on very technical features (multiple pockets, reflective markings), ideal for pure performance but less essential for mixed use. The Lululemon Pace Breaker is more athleisure but often less refined. ANTARES offers a balance: lightweight, clean athletic cut, discreet editorial palette that works in the city, OEKO-TEX certification, and a lower starting price than both premium competitors.
